The cottage is located on a small organic farm near Mangawhai in Northland, New Zealand. Close to a numerous beautiful beaches and a range of other attractions in the "Winterless North" of New Zealand's North Island.
Self catering cottage
Studio cottage features one double bedroom accommodation with queen bed, kitchen/dining/living room and a bathroom with shower & toilet. There is a bed/settee in the lounge area which could be used to sleep children.
Outside, there is a spacious patio & gardens with barbeque & outdoor furniture. Ample parking available for one or more cars plus room for a boat.
Earth Building
The house and studio were built by nzearthbuilders using a mix of clay and pumice. Internal earth plastering combined with a lime plaster exterior means that no cement has been used in constructing the walls. All external joinery uses recycled totara while internally we have used locally grown macrocarpa, lawson’s cyprus and eucalyptus. Eco-frienly bio-paints have been used throughout giving the whole building a wonderful natural feel. The thermal properties of the building are excellent, being warm in winter and cool in summer.

Conditions of Booking

Bookings must be confirmed with credit card details or payment by internet banking. For December and January bookings and September/October 2011, a non-refundable deposit equal to one night's accommodation will be charged at time of reservation. A minimum booking of 3 consecutive nights is required for bookings between 25th December and 7th January each year. A minimum of 3 consecutive nights is required for the Easter Holiday Weekend. All other holiday weekends require a 2 night minimum.

Cancellation Policy

A Cancellation Charge equal to one night's accommodation will apply December and January and September/October 2011, and all Statutory Holiday Weekends for bookings cancelled within 2 days of expected arrival.
